I admit it worked for me, for an entertaining visit to the cinema. A beautiful landscape, Robert Redford, Morgan Freeman, the excellent child actress Becca Gardner, and it was nice to see Camryn Manheim. Jennifer Lopez was also good. And the film’s approach to the abuse of women and children was good and held it together (which was the idea, to hold it together with that, but that’s just fine).
