Zatôichi — The Blind Samurai 29 March 05

This is one of the strangest films I’ve ever seen. It has some poetic moments. There is apparently quite a Zatôichi genre of novels and films which I hadn’t known about, with nine films alone made in the 1960s. I plan to look more into Takeshi Kitano who appears to be quite a cult figure, not only in Japan.
